Location
…As Everyone Knows For That Little Bit Extra You Have To Go That Little Bit Further…..
Villas De Las Aves is located on the Southern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, just
18km South of Dominical and 3 km from the Village of Uvita. We are Approximately
4 hours by car from the airport in San Jose.
If you rent a car in San Jose there are two routes down to the Southern Zone.
One is across the mountain range the Cerro Del Muerte, which will take you through beautiful mountain scenery, which changes until you reach the chilly cloud forest at the top. The road then winds down to the busy town of San Isidro Del General and then onto the Surf Village of Dominical. Here you will hit the Coastal Highway, the Costanera, and you will drive South paralleling some of the most beautiful beaches in the country to our luxury vacation rentals in Uvita.
The Second Route takes you out of San Jose to the West Coast, which you will follow all the way past the towns of Jaco and Quepos and Dominical until you reach Uvita.
Villas De Las Aves is approximately .5 km out of the village and 2.5 km from
the Costanera. You will take a left turn off the Costanera just opposite the turning
for the Marino Ballena National Park. From here you will travel 2km up a mountain road,
which is bordered by a protected forest refuge a great bird and butterfly watching area.
You will come to a sign on your left marking the road to Villas De Las Aves and now you
will feel like you have entered the enchanted forest, this road winds down through some
of the largest trees we have in the area. A further sign will point you to the right
where you will enter the property and as soon as you cross the small stream you will
see the gatehouse and entrance to the Finca.
The Mountain Road is good but we do recommend 4-wheel drive in the rainy season.
